Asian women professionals are the least likely minority group to be promoted into management and executive levels based on a study by the Ascend Foundation. According to a recent McKinsey report, the representation of Asian women steadily declines from the entry levels to senior levels, and Asian women make up less than 1 percent of promotions into the C-suite. The intersectionality of gender and race – being women and a person of color – causes Asian women professionals to encounter a double whammy in advancing their careers into leadership.
